Storing Velvet

Please note that velvet fabric can appear different under varying lighting conditions. The material shimmers more intensely in daylight and appears more muted under artificial indoor lighting. Due to the smooth, high-density structure of the fabric, its color may also vary depending on the direction and angle of your hand. To even out the color and prevent pressure marks, gently stroke the fabric in one direction with an open palm, wipe it with a damp cloth, or iron it with a steam iron.
